If you have been in the store within the past month, then please pardon our mess. We have been doing a lot of spring cleaning, new shelving, rearranging and organizing as we try to get ready for the shop hop. Last week it was especially disorganized. Maybe you've been there, you have great visions of this beautifully cleaned, organized kitchen but half way thru with it looking like a tornado hit, you begin to feel a little overwhelmed and wonder what in the world you were thinking. A sweet, dear customer came in right when we were feeling that way and told us what a lovely store we had. When I apologized for the mess, she stated she hadn't noticed anything messy at all, she was just too busy looking at all the unique, beautiful things. I almost hugged her as she reminded me of what Grandma Kathy would have said. She also had the wonderful gift of seeing the beauty and overlooking or maybe just instantly forgiving the mess and refusing to judge. We have made it past the worst now and are climbing up out of the valley to actually seeing the light on the other side. Thank you to all our customers who have been patient and understanding. May we all give each other a little slack, you never know what may be happening in the other person's life at any given time. When I think I'm having a bad day, I try to remind myself that mine is nothing compared to what others are going through. Hopefully we will see you in here next week and we can show you what has been happening. The Shop Hop will be running the 15th thru the 19th. There will be specials (a lot, we are still in a cleaning mood), popcorn, door prizes and more. If you can't find your favorite item, just ask- we can play search and find together!
